Over the last few months my small team have been testing the Deteknix cordless
headphones on a number of machines.
The overall opinion is very good indeed, batter life is good, build quality
excellent, sound quality is sharp with no noticeable delay are just some
comments I have received.
The headphones are well packaged and have clear instructions, the first of which
is read the instructions where it stated to full charge the units before using
them as they are shipped with a minimal charge after factory testing.
Price £89.95
The charging system is via USB, either from a wall plug, a computer or portable
power pack, battery life is about 6 hours, the units will need to be used a few
times and re charged to get the optimum battery life.
As with all modern Li Poly batteries, they like to be "topped up" rather than
left for long periods on charge, 3 hours should be plenty to charge the300mAh
units.
The speakers are 32Ω which those of you headphone tekkies know is an optimal
rating for metal detector sound quality. The dynamic frequency response is
20–20,000Hz...once again an optimal range.
The wireless transfer is Digital 2.4GHz with a tiny 0.06s delay, which is barely
noticeable with the human ear.
These units really complimented the new
Deeptech metal detectors
I have been testing
I really like using these headphones on my detectors, they give me so much more
freedom, having used the XP Deus for many years you kind of get spoilt with
wireless technology, now I carry the Detekniks units in my bag at all times so I
can quickly go cordless whenever I am testing a new machine.
These units are available worldwide, the UK Stockist is Detectorbits
