Just wondering who uses a normal garden spade or one of the custom spades around for their digging? Have to say I use a standard cranked boarder spade although it is stainless.

I use a burgon and ball transplanting spade with a couple of stainless steel roll pins welded to the top to protect my boots. The spade is 38 quid but very strong and a nice shape on the blade.

Budget garden border spade for the beach and a draper mini shovel for the fields.....perfectly adequate.
