Thanks. Is it worth upgrading if you only have the original coils ? Seems xp are going the way of minelab with multi frequencies.

Time will tell. I'm more than happy with the original coil set, but the higher frequency options of the X35 range is very tempting. These new coils won't be multi-frequency though, they just offer a wider range of single frequency options.

These coils will supercede the original black coils, they are the same in appearance and have the battery inside the coil. Only the white coils have the battery in the stem.
I have not spent a great deal of time testing but can say they are very stable.

I was saving for a 11 inch so happy days, however I have a 120 mile round trip to my cousins sons PC to update, which XP would sort out a Apple Mac option there’s no way I’am putting parrells on my Mac.

Still on V4 glad I hung on

It sounds like they’ll be out this month? Assuming the software will be done around the same time (if not before) as they’ll be pretty useless without it I assume...

I have a birthday in 4 weeks and I want an 11” one badly. And that’ll mean my black 11” and the HF coil won’t be needed any more  ;D

I will keep my powder dry for the time being.

Iam quite happy at the moment with my H/F 9" coil.

Going back to a building the battery in the coil seems a retrograde step to me.

I would like to know the reason why this decision was taken?

Happy Hunting,

Jerry.

All sounds good to me. I have an original 9" and 13" coils, might be tempted by the new x35 11" at some point, but will probably wait a while to see how first adopters find them!

Here we are 3 weeks on and Tim and I are still using V4.

Iam using the 9" H/F round coil and he is using the original Black 9" coil.

We are still holding back about upgrading as our finds over the last few weeks are making us reluctant.

3 Gold items and also silver ones cant be ignored.

We both use Deep and a couple of button presses take us to the  trusty Sifter settings and back again.

I suppose a few blank digs might change our minds.

Meanwhile we watch to see how you guys get along with the new settings.

The chances are we will play catch-up when the time is right.

Happy Hunting,

Jerry.
