Title: What a result
Post by: Two Tone on October 15, 2015, 06:03 pm: I was looking to find some new land to search this winter and I went to see a farmer, who told me he was a tenant. He gave the contact details to the owner and I have a friend who is a master at gaining permission and he sent the owner one of his special letters. The owner replied with a letter giving us permission on all of his 14 farms which is a total of 10,000 acres...... I think I'm going to be busy detecting this winter I just hope it ain't too cold!

just checked that on an area calculator. area equates to a big chunk of central london or the figures below.

Really? My mate thinks the Duke of Buccleugh is a very nice chap and very amenable. (Of course, he may have no say in the running of the estates these days, but meh...)
