I see that Nigel has commented on FB that the new Garrett wireless headsets will be available late Feb to early March.
rrp £127.99, not cheap but 30 hours battery life between charges, impressive.

Indeed the battery life is exceptional plus no delay or should I say the delay is so slight you can't detect it.

Is there a photo available?

Video on YouTube Rew on the Garrett Detector's channel.

Cheers Bob, I'll take a look now. ;)

Watched it and looks impressive Bob. Think I'll be getting one for the sorex.
-
Looks the business and decent battery life Rew, shame the price wasn't nearer the ton mark.

Maybe there will be a deal or two knocking about, but I guess that battery life is their trump card for the high price. Others will follow.

minelab are bringing one out early next year also ::)

I think Garrett is just repackaging China product into their own custom design case. Cases are bigger to hold a larger battery to give you the longer run times.
From the specs I saw, appear to be the same specs as most wireless on the 2.4ghz frequency.
Think they see Deteknix making adapter modules for the Garretts as well as others so, making big profits, so they are getting in on it. To capture the market--longer run times.
Probably see Fisher and White's get in on it next.
Just seems like accessory prices are going up and up.....
I am curious to see if they are made in the US and not in China, its very well possible.
