At Lidl today for only £11-99.
Long handles for tall folks.
Easily cut down and the Blades cut with a angle grinder cutter to a smaller shield shape.
Happy Hunting,
Jerry.

I know what you mean Keith.
I have 3 of them myself.
I always carry a spare and you would be surprised over the years how folks have had their day saved by borrowing my spare spade. ;) :)
Happy Hunting,
Jerry.

;D Hi Jerry ,
I have a really old wooden t shape handle think its a womens spade, very old and cant remember , where it came from, had it at least 30 years, my daughter who used to come out with me Detecting when she was little, is thinking of starting to detect again , though her husband is not to keen ,
She has asked about the shovel so might let her have it so a trip to lidl is on the cards then

Makes sense Jerry. I keep meaning to put my little mini shovel in the boot. They give me backache but it would save the day if my spade ever bust.
