Title: The Tasacci Metal Detector
Post by: Keith67 on May 04, 2021, 10:57 pm
I saw a bit of media about this machine a while back and then it seemed to disappear, anyway, here's a new video of the machine where it appears to give a better signal than an F75 and Nox, although we don't know the peoples settings of course.  Anyway here it is for those who are interested. Make of it what you will, and does anyone know much about these Tarsacci detectors?

I have been watching this machine for a while.  With a price tag of £1,375 though, I would like more feedback from peeps in the UK before parting with any money. I only know of 2 people in the UK that use one so it doesn't look like it's caught too much attention over here.  The owner/designer has a good history in detecting electronics and the salinity adjustment is an interesting feature. Get yer money out Keith and let me know what you think.  ;D ;)

The MDT 8000
I've been testing one, they make it sound like a special machine...not PI, not Multi Frequency but something different.
It's claimed to work well on highly mineralized soil and wet sand, I hope it does because inland it was average at best.
Personally I would not rank it as a £1300 machine, I would say £599.
The battery system is bonkers.
I'm pretty confident the top machines will easily outperform it in the field.
You can tell by the videos, the users are all unsure how it works, and they are all static tests.
