Hi I did this several times and it worked :), keep an eye on the market and try to buy a complete used xp Deus for max 900 euro , take out the remote control and sell the Deus as lite for about 600 euro , so you payed 300 euro for a remote control(they are hard to get without the other stuff, and cost new about 670 euro) , even if the Deus is used hard time people are buying it but you have to be honest wenn selling it, the advantage also is the 5 year warranty so even if it is used hard time you have normally a couple of years warranty left and that's why people are buying it, gr c.

If I understand you correctly; you are suggesting buying a full Deus set up and splitting the remote away, to sell the remaining kit as a Dues lite and then sell the remote independently - so making a few quid? Umm it probably does work, but who gets the warranty - I would suggest nobody, if the item is split up, but I could be wrong.
I could think of better things to do with my time TBH to earn a few quid, plus I would suggest its not particularly ethical practice...... ::)

Not to sell the remote again but to purchase on for 300 euro less and it has nothing to do with ethical either, there is nothing wrong with it, if you want to buy a remote for 670euro be my guest :)

Okay - slightly clearer. If you haven't got a remote and wanted one then fair enough. It was just your comment 'I did this several times and it worked'. You made it sound as if you were just doing it to make a few quid each time, that was all my ethical comment referred to.

I was About to spend £600+ on a control box for my deus. I had a quick look on gumtree and found a deus for £700 without headphones, so I bought that and now have a full deus and a deus lite
