Yes it was the same last year, they certainly whipped everyone else on the finds front. Except the top find, gold Saxon mount, which was an English guy.

I think his mother was French.
-
So the question has to be, what are they doing different?
-
Maybe the English want big loud signals, with a certain tone before they will dig. The French listen more carefully and dig more iffy signals.

I wonder. It would be interesting to hear from anyone who witnessed them in the field. I wonder if they dig more targets?

WHRADA members had a great time.
I met old friends and made some new ones.
I only had run of the mill finds myself.
There were Hundreds of finds recorded.
XP were really helpful our thanks to Alain and the team especially our Gary who helped me personally with a self made problem.
Regton were also really helpful with on the site detecting repairs and advice.
I must not forget Detecnicks family always out to please their customers.
NCMD were also flying the flag.
The camp food was excellent.
Thanks to the organisers and we look forward to the next event.
Oh yes my detecting Partner won a detector.
A Technetics Patriot which may need a new home as Steve uses the XP Deus.
That all for now.
Happy Hunting,
Jerry.

Yes I was told Friday was rubbish hardly any finds, it must of picked up Sat Sun.
-
Friday wasn't rubbish for me, 5 bronze Romans, 1 x gold quarter stater and token number 2 which won me a minelab 705 detector. So don't think the French had it quite all there way😀😀😀
Luck turned Saturday struggled big time .

A picture speaks a thousand words ;)
Be interested to see the Celtic .....

Here's the picture of my Dobunni quarter stater I found , and using Deus high frequency 9 inch coil Sir Gary hot programme slight tweak, to my liking
