Keep your eye out for Gavin, I think it's next week you will see him.

I love McKenzie Crook
my favourite clip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHamZOCe1hc
-
Did you see.my Panther spade on the show, he said he was going to use it.
-
Not seen it yet. Had to be elsewhere 😃

Yes I noticed that. I'll get a sticker for mine "As seen on Detectorists"
-
So, did anyone notice the mistake ?
-
Oh great, Nigel has set us some homework ;D
-
So, did anyone notice the mistake ?
The missing coil cover on the Deus?

Yes I certainly did notice the product placement! Gave it away as it was brand spanking new....as Keith said I think I will update mine with a 'as used by Mackenzie Crook'
-
Watching it tonight, can't blimming wait ::)
Love it :)

Yep, I noticed that too, is that the one Nigel?
-
He said he would be using it when he had a Deus 1 to one session earlier in the year with me.
He's a great guy and a good Detectorist.

I didn't realise he was that serious, he's done an article in this months searcher but I haven't got round to reading it yet.

Love the bit where the scenery goes back in time. Wish I could do that in real life. Would have a good advantage though to visualise buildings etc.

Me too ....... the Hawking whistle bit was excellent

I think there's something very special about the Detectorists, regardless of whether you detect. TV at it's very best.

its as good as the 1st series so far in my opinion. Excellent show. Loved the going back in time too. If only we could do that with every lovely coin or artefact we find, see exactly how it was lost and the consequences to the loser of that loss. Great show, keep it up Mackenzie :)

Agree there monkeyman . That is always in my thought. Like going shopping and find the £50 you put in your pocket to get some much needed food and find it's not there. The hawking whistle probably cost a lot and was probably vital to someone's trade.

I'm sure I read somewhere that the whistle was actually one of Mackenzie's own finds, that he decided to incorporate into the show.

He certainly should have given it a wash before using it. ;) :) Jerry.

Thought I had read he said this will be the last he wont do anymore

Yes it's in the Searcher. He cleaned it with grass and blew it in the field. He said it was eerie and immediately knew it had to go in the show.
I suppose his love of detecting could possibly mean a fourth series, but he has pretty much intimated that this is the last run. Getting the people together and scheduling these things is difficult especially when it's not a big show.
-
Excellent i thought ::) and a big step up from the last series.
The Hawking whistle bit was romantic, moving and inspiring.
If you are in to history, you must have felt moved.
Maybe I'm getting sentimental ::)
-
Or pissed ;D
Sorry boys ;D ;D
-
You on that cider again oily ;)

Ha Ha mate, think i had that Friday feeling ;D
