Hello all.
Today i upgraded from my original Red Racer to a Deus light, looking forward to learning and finding. Decided against the remote for now, mainly expense so will have to see how i progress.
Thank you.
Colin.

Have fun Colin its a great all round machine, well ahead of its time when it came out 8 years ago.
In many ways it still is, certainly being the only real wireless detector.
Most of our club members own one and some wonderful finds have come to light using one.
My son now 61,just recently gave up his Sovereign Elite (possibly one the best machines ever from the Minelab stable) for the XP Deus.
Happy Hunting,
Jerry.

I started without the remote, found me plenty. Best of luck.

Well Tim used his XP Deus yesterday with WHRADA after using Minelab Sovereign all his years detecting.
Over 90 % of our members were all using a Deus and that has to say something in favour of the The Mighty Deus.
His Lizzy Sixpence has seen better days, but so have some of us. LOL. ;)
Happy Hunting,
Jerry.

Hello.
Used the Deus for the first time yesterday on a very boggy field, not having the remote and relying solely on audio was a bit strange at first. Iron disc was very good so dug a lot less than usual although was fooled twice by an axe head(modern) and a large horseshoe, found a modern coin and a brass buckle but very little was found by anyone. Program 9 was the choice,so do i need the remote or are the 10 +1 program added for me enough for a while yet?
Thank you.
Colin.

The pre-set programmes are very effective, it's unlikely the remote will help you miss axe heads or horse shoes, it doesn't stop me getting them. Big iron is always a problem.
