Excellent detector, I had various Minelabs going back to the first Sovereigns in the late 1980`s.

The Explorer range and the e-trac found myself and others some great finds.

The problem as always with Minelabs was the weight factor.

Happy Hunting,

Jerry.

Blimey......i did'nt realise it was still thought of in this light.........talk of minelabs (or any other brand for that matter) seems to be a bit thin on the ground  since the deus was introduced.
Cheers guys.

Yes all those years ago (about 8+) XP with the Deus knocked Minelab off the perch.

They have come back with a machine that looks more in keeping with 2018 and seem to be OK in its class.

Only time will tell, but its cheap enough for folks to give it a try.

Jerry.

I have found if you have a field where the Minelab struggles then the Deus will excel !   but the reverse is also true !

they are a heavy lump but well worth the effort especially on pasture ..no coke digging ..loves thin section at depth ..the deus will run rings round it on arable though....horses for courses  8)
