As above how many use it ?.

I don't.  Zero disc on full tones and I tend to stick with about 5 on most programmes.  GMP I usually leave on the pre-set disc.  That's my go-to programme.

Depends on ground conditions and brain conditions,  if the ground minerals aren't to noisy stay on -6.4, otherwise raise to -3.0.
Same with brain not focusing, some days i just cant bond with hot and switch to another programme.

I to stick around -3 find it better as well as you say you have to be in the swing for full concentration on hot prog.

I've played with -6.4 a few times but I'm not sure I gave me an advantage. Any time that I found a target with negative  discrim,  I jacked up the discrim to 8 and it was still able to detect the target. I'm not knocking it as a way to hunt, I just haven't figured out how to make it work for me  :-\
