Title: Telephone Wires
Post by: gentyman on July 12, 2017, 02:28 pm
Can any advise me if my XP Deus 11" coil is capable of finding a underground telephone wire?

Been asked by a farmer for some help finding it.

If it can what settings/program could anyone recommend is  best.
Thanks in Advance
Paul.

Expect the cable will be too deep to detect, try it on a piece of wire & you'll get around 4-6".

If that doesn't work you can hire something called a cat & genny from hire shops, if you can clamp to the cable it's possible to send a signal down wire (Signal Generator) & pick it up with the CAT (Cable Avoidance Tool), if that's not possible you lay the Genny over the known location & it re-radiates a signal for CAT to pick up.
